Our Story

With Doux Chaton, we are a family business, that means everyone is family!

Liverpool

Our first restaurant, we opened our doors on 7th February 2022, slowly coming out of the Pandemic. Many of us were leaving a period of reflection with a lot of time to ask ourselves “What would we do if we could make a lasting impression in our community?”.

Before we opened there were very sparse Vietnamese options on Merseyside that reflected authentic flavours from our homeland, the universe gave us this opportunity on Renshaw Street and plucked up the courage to say YOLO! What has followed is a growing community of customers who we consider family and friends, every week we see returning faces and we are forever in gratitude, thanks for making us feel so welcome to the people of Liverpool!

We dusted off the Doux Chaton family recipe book, promised ourselves we would never cut corners and made it imperative to deliver the best quality authentic product to the city of Liverpool; home of Europe’s first Chinatown. We make pretty much everything from scratch and made to order, including the homemade Banh Mi baguettes we’re sure you cannot get anywhere else.

We are so honoured to be recognised as Liverpool’s original authentic Vietnamese restaurant, since we opened we’ve seen this cuisine grow even more in the city and we’re so glad many of you are being introduced to our culture!

For the main course, explore our iconic noodle soups, including the world-famous Phở with its aromatic broth, tender rice noodles, and your choice of beef, chicken, or vegetarian options. For bold and spicy flavors, our Bún Bò Huế offers a hearty, lemongrass-infused broth packed with thick noodles and tender beef.

If you prefer something handheld, our authentic Bánh Mì is a must-try, combining crispy baguettes with savory fillings, fresh herbs, and pickled vegetables for a delightful balance of textures and flavors. Rounding out the menu, we offer stir-fried noodles, rice dishes, and plant-based options to ensure every guest finds something they’ll love.
